• User Content: The text questions you ask and the images of homework you upload for AI assistance.
• App Activity & Usage: Bookmarks, study history, and daily AI usage limits (credits).
• Device & Diagnostic Data: Crash reports and performance analytics (via Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics) to improve app stability.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To create and secure your Pathsala AI account.
• To process your questions and uploaded images through our AI gateway to provide accurate, NCERT-grounded educational answers.
• To track your daily usage quotas for Normal Questions, Visual Companions, and Homework Uploads.
• To display relevant, non-intrusive advertisements (we do not use personal educational data to personalize ads).
• To monitor app health, fix bugs, and improve the user experience.

3. AI Processing

Your questions and uploaded images are processed securely via our private AI gateway. We use generative AI models to provide educational assistance. Do not submit sensitive personal information (like passwords or financial data) into the AI chat.

4. Third-Party Services

We use trusted third-party services to operate our App. These services have their own privacy policies:

• Google Play Services
• Firebase Authentication (for secure login via OTP/Email)
• Cloud Firestore & Firebase Storage (for storing your profile, bookmarks, and uploaded homework images)
• Google Analytics for Firebase (for app usage statistics)
• Firebase Crashlytics (for crash reporting)
• Google AdMob (for displaying banner and rewarded advertisements)

5. Children's Privacy

Pathsala AI is an educational tool designed for students, including those under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of consent in your region). We are committed to protecting children's privacy. We only collect the minimum amount of information necessary to provide the educational service. We do not sell children's data, nor do we use it for targeted advertising profiling.

6. Data Retention and Account Deletion

You have full control over your data. You can delete your history, bookmarks, and your entire account at any time.

• In-App Deletion: You can delete your account directly from within the App settings.
• Manual Request: Alternatively, you can email us at the contact address below to request immediate deletion of your account and associated data.

Upon account deletion, your profile, usage history, and uploaded images are removed from our active databases [subject to standard backup retention periods - Please confirm exact period].

We implement reasonable security measures, including Firebase App Check and Play Integrity, to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. However, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
